Curbing Process
Step 1
When We arrive at your home or business the crew will get right to work and start to get set up. We will walk the property with you to determine where your new curbing will be placed and determine the layout. The ground will then be marked with spray paint. Once the layout is approved by you, it will then be measured and then the area will be prepared for the curbing to be installed.
Step 2
Once the prep work is complete and the machines and tools are in place, we will begin to mix the concrete. Portland cement, mason sand, and multiple admixtures are combined to make the best concrete mix design. We will also include integral color at this time if it is needed.
Step 3
The material is carefully moved to the curbing machine, making sure to not damage any existing landscape. Once the concrete is extruded from the machine, the “rough” concrete needs to be finished. Specialized towels are used for this process. Having an experienced operator and finisher is key to a great end result. Our crew is highly trained for this process.
Step 4
If we are installing stamped curbing, a secondary color or colors are put onto the wet curb. Then your chosen stamp/texture is pressed into the curb. When this process is competed the expansion joints are cut in.
Step 5
